CPS Human Resource Services, a self-supporting public agency based in Sacramento, says it has sold the assets of its Sigma Data Systems division to Neogov Inc. of El Segundo, which sells public sector applicant tracking products.
Financial terms of the deal were not announced.
First released in 1981, the Sigma applicant processing and testing software has become ubiquitous, CPS says, with public agencies ranging from school districts to city, county, and state governments across the United States using it.
“The acquisition of Sigma by Neogov provides for the ongoing maintenance of the Sigma product by a team whose business is solely applicant tracking systems,” says Jerry Greenwell, CEO of CPS Human Resource Services. “The sale allows CPS to emphasize our core strengths of delivering expert HR management, employment testing, and assessment services.”
CPS Human Resource Services will focus on its core business of improving human resource management in the public sector. “Our commitment to taking care of our clients is paramount,” said Greenwell. “Our experts continue to provide services aligned with better recruitment, selection and retention of employees.”
